Announcing the 11th annual
  Juniata College
Track and Cross Country Runners Reunion

Weekend of Friday May 2nd thru Sunday May 4th, 2008

          Dr. and Mrs. Donald Mitchell have once again graciously agreed to host the main event of this reunion at their home on the Cliffs.

     The format will remain consistent with former years:  home base will be the Huntingdon Motor Inn.  We will meet there about 9:00 or 10:00 on Friday night, and try to get into Kelley's Corner for a couple of beverages before they close down.  Then, we may continue the 'getting reacquainted'  meeting in one of the motel rooms, possibly with some singing and jamming on guitar and keyboards.  Bring your instruments if you want to join in. 

          Saturday morning will NOT find us at Grubb's Diner this year, as it is parked next to the HMI in the parking lot.  We could bust in and brown bag it for old times' sake.  Or, maybe Tops Diner will be our new breakfast place.   

           In the afternoon there will be a fun run.  This year, the current track team, residing at Mission House, will sponsor a run for those able and willing.  We will venture forth for an easy jog along some new running trails that the current guys (and gals) run.   The route will be designed so that those who want to can turn back after a couple of miles, and the rest can continue on a more intense route.  There will be refreshments at Mission House afterwards.  Come and meet the 2008 Eagle Track Team.

           Saturday evening will be the main event which will be hosted by Coach Don Mitchell  and Becky Mitchell at their home, suitably located at the top of Sure-Kill Hill, actually located on the path of the old XC course!  Here we will swap stories ad infinitum, lowering our PRs with each telling.

           On Sunday morning, some of us will meet for a final breakfast at Tops before we head for home.

      Remember, all JC former runners are welcome, regardless of ability or year of participation.  Also members of the current track/XC team may attend.

       **Try and make reservations early at the HMI.   I reserved four adjoining non-smoking rooms under the name "Juniata Cross Country Reunion", or use my name to obtain one of these.  814-643-1133.
