It has an employee file, an archive file of employee images week by week, an automatic paycheck generating function, automatic tax calculation, an archive file of payroll checks, and numerous reports.

    The payroll program can be run as a stand alone module, or it can interface with the First State Accounting General Ledger.  Some companies use this module to create the reports needed to send to payroll services such as ADP or Paychex.  Then, instead of plugging in all of the journal entries that the service sends back, they simply post the payroll into the G/L.
