OUR HISTORY
Hoover Computer Services, Inc. has been in the business of providing
customized computer software, systems, and service to specialized markets since 1984.
The company is privately owned.
We are based in Wilmington, Delaware, and most of our clients are in the
MidAtlantic region. Our primary platform is SCO UNIX but we are also involved in
Linux and Windows, particularly UNIX to Windows networking/connectivity.
Our most recent focus has been on Internet based services.
Our services include UNIX and Linux support and service, systems integration,
personalized training, and computer counseling. We specialize in custom programming using the filePro Plus relational database language. Our accounting
package, First State Accounting™, is now the operating base for dozens of businesses in our region.
We also
have a marina management software package.
We service any type of
business or organization. Our customer base varies in size from small to
very large companies. The types of businesses we service also runs a full range
including professionals, medical organizations, county governments, manufacturing,
service companies, retail point of sale, marinas, and many others.
